Mojang’s Notch Challenges Bethesda to Quake 3 Match

We don’t usually post news, but we found this particularly amusing, as a response to Bethesda’s lawsuit against Mojang’s upcoming game Scrolls for having the word “scrolls” in the title that might be a little too close to Bethesda’s series The Elder Scrolls, Markus “Notch” Persson decided to settle this like gaming adults.

Notch challenges Bethesda to a gentleman’s game of Quake 3 Arena, if he wins Bethesda drops the lawsuit, but if they win, they rename the game with what ever they see fit for Mojang’s latest game. Sounds quite interesting if you ask us. More on this in Notch’s Tumblr blog.

And as we speak, Notch posted this on twitter:

looking forward to watch the stream!

I hope Bethesda approves of this challenge. because lawsuits are too formal anyway
