When a super hero movie is released people should expect a video game based on that movie. These games usually don’t sell that much and sometimes get a bad reviews. However, Batman Arkham City is a different story simply because it has its own story (not based on a film) and it took the super hero games to another level.

Story

Personally, I hate DC’s super heroes and I even hate their stories but I bought the game just because I didn’t have any other games to play. However, I didn’t know that I will have so much fun playing the game and the story will be that epic. I’m not going to tell you anything about the story but you should be expecting a normal beginning and an epic ending.

Gameplay:

Unlike any other super hero game, this game is not linear. Just like Assassin’s Creed, you have full freedom to go anywhere around Arkham City, this means that when you want to progress through the game, you have to go to the next area by yourself instead of waiting for the game to take you there.

The combat system in the game is fairly simple. Attack, counter and stun. However, this is not the fun part. The fun part starts when you have to take down your enemies silently because you have to plan your moves so you wont get killed. If you want to do something funny in the game, try listening to the enemies before attacking them.

Moving around the city is also fun, you run on the streets or you can jump from a building to another. While moving around you will find some side quests on your way so try doing them because they give decent XP.

Things I like about the game.

There are many great things about the game but here is what i think:

Great story line
Nice music
Nice combat system
lots of side quests
The voice acting is great

Things i didn’t like about the game.

There is only one or two things i didn’t like about the game. The first thing is that you will be doing somethings over and over again (except the last part) like:

Fighting the same guys over and over again.
Opening the locks the same way you did in the beginning of the game.

The second thing is using the detective mode makes the game so easy because by using it you can see through walls. In other words, you will be able to assassinate your enemy so easily which in turn takes the challenge part out of the game.

Finally…

I would suggest that you guys should try this game because it is awesome and worth playing.
